This is a large mesquite bowl.
It is rare (at least for me) to find a piece of mesquite this large without worm holes.
Mesquite has been treated as a trash tree in the past, but people are beginning to see how beautiful and useful the wood is.
As this piece ages it will turn a wonderful warm golden brown color.
